Juno

This is a movie clip of my all time favorite movie, Juno!  One thing that would go into the script is that when Juno walks into the store, she gulps down the last of the Sunny D and throws it into a trash can.  When she walks inside, the man at the counter is fixing something, it is not clear what it is.  When Juno is in the bathroom later, when the camera gets a close up on her face, it is foreshadowing that something life-changing will happen to her (and it did).  The writer in the beginning could have mentioned that there were lots of items in the store- it was a drug store.  I love the dialouge between Juno and the man at the counter; it just shows what kind of a teenager Juno was and it helped her develop as a character throughout the whole movie.  Since Juno was the only main character here, the viewer got a good idea of who she was.

The Tree

The big, tall, proud tree
Sways all its leaves back and forth
It is the tree's dance.

Oh, the apple tree
Providing a juicy treat
On a summer day.

I've never climbed trees
It's something I never learned
When I was little.

National Get Rid of Homework Week

This holiday is all about celebrating being a kid.  Ever since we all started school, our lives have been engulfed with nothing but work, work, work.  Some of you may have forgotten what it's really like to be young and how to have fun.  We have all lost that sense of fun due to too much homework.

This started way back, many years ago, when parents of students banded together to protest.  It caught the attention of many people, all the way to the president himself.  He liked the idea so much, that he declared the second week in November National Get Rid of Homework Week.

How do people celebrate?  What is this holiday all about?  It's very simple, really.  What it all comes down to is that this holiday is for the kids.  It's a reward to them for working so hard during all of the school year.  It's a way of saying, "Hey.  You need a break.  Just go out and have fun."  The kids can go out and do whatever they please.  It's great for the kids to feel refreshed, and not feel stressed.  That's what this holiday is all about.

No More Cheese Pizza!

This law proposal is to ban all types of plain cheese pizza.  Cheese pizza is way too boring, and way to overrated.  If anybody is seen making or eating any sort of plain cheese pizza, the Pizza Busters will come and snatch the pizza.  There will be no way for anybody to get their hands on any sort of cheese pizza.  If someone was caught eating or making a cheese pizza, they would be arrested and sentenced to six months in jail.

Of course, since pizza is a food adored by all, one may still have the opportunity to eat a pizza.  There are a wide variety of styles of pizzas to chose from-anything from pepperoni pizza to an elaborate pesto veggie pizza.  The possibilities are endless.  Because of that, that gives one the opportunity to try and invent a new type of pizza on their own.

Outlawing cheese pizza will make our country a better place.  If people just eat cheese pizza all the time, people will think that America is a boring country.  But if we outlaw cheese pizza, it will bring this great country of ours even closer together.  It will add so much more diversity (as represented by the different types of meat and vegetables added).   So please, vote for this law; it will only make our country better.

Beware of the Puirel!

This is a puirel.  It is a combination between a squirrel and a panther.  This little guy is the usual size of a squirrel.  The fur color is always black, like a panther.  You can find this puirel anywhere, as long as it's a typical place for a squirrel or a panther to hang out.  You can find this guy scampering up and down trees, or perhaps you will find him lurking around deep in the forest.  Since this animal has the small sized body, like a squirrel, it is too small to hunt down and eat other animals, so it usually eats acorns.  But, when given an opportunity, it will never pass down an offer to eat another animal with other panthers.  These animals also prefer to live in trees, because of their size. Puirels are very vicious and very territorial about their space.  There have been some recorded deaths by a puirel attack.

Thunderstorm

This is a picture of a thunderstorm.  The sky is a deep, dark, mysterious color.  It is changing from a light purple to a dark, rich purple.  You can see the treetops, which are black against the dark sky.  The leaves on the treetops make different shapes and lumps.  Spread out across the sky, there are several lightning flashes.  There are three lightning flashes which make up the main part of the picture.  The lightning flashes are like cracks of intense light on a wall, and the cracks are quickly spreading.  It looks almost as though the sky will rip apart and there will be nothing but a huge sheet of light.  Each lightning flash is more intense than the others.  The one going down the left side of the picture is the most dangerous one.  It is thick, like a stick, but has thinner "cracks" growing out of it.  The one on the right side is significantally thinner, and also has the cracks growing out of it.  The third one, is the smallest and thinnest one of all.  The lightning strikes are shedding a pink-white color light.

What's it like to be famous?

Okay, I'm not entirely sure if I am doing this assignment right, so I'll do what I think it is...

Ladies and gentlemen... THE BEATLES!!!!!  Imagine having a huge crowd of thousands of people screaming for you.  You grab a guitar, go to the microphone, and the whole world stops and just listens to you.  Just imagine.  You are one of the first people who started rock and roll.  You were one of the people who brought a fresh new sound to the US (during that time period.) You and the band made so many new hits that constantly were making the top 5 chart list.  Even today, after all of these years, imagine just walking down the street and having someone notice you and having someone say, "Dude, I loved you guys, and I still love you!"  Imagine appearing on The Edward Cullens Show and have every single person's eye focused on you and only you.  Imagine all of the young girls screaming your name when they see you.  Imagine the crying fans that you see all the time.  Imagine being in the greatest rock band of all time.

What the heck is that?

Kindergarteners: Sparky the dog lived on a farm.  So did Edward, the rooster.  One day, while Sparky was outside in the yard, he heard a "cock-a-doodle-do!" from Edward.  So he ran as fast as he could to see what the strange noise was.  He saw it was Edward.
"Hi, my name is Sparky, what's your name?" Sparky asked.
"My name is Edward," Edward said.
"Do you want to be my friend?" Sparky asked.
"Oh yes I do want to be your friend!" Edward exclaimed.
After that, the two of them spent all of their time together.  They would go and play in the barn, and when they got tired, they laid down to take a nap.  The two of them spent so much time together that they blended together!

Grandparents: Grandma, Grandpa, I have a horrible story to tell you.  I was taking a stroll down through my neighborhood, and I come to this corner.  There, I find a dog and a rooster.  The dog and the rooster were both trying to get across the street.  Before I could make a move to rescue them, a car come zooming out of nowhere.  Obviously, the person in the car was a careless driver, so he didn't see the dog or the rooster... so he hit them both.  I was so sure that both of them were not going to survive.  But when I looked back, I saw the most astonishing thing.  It seemed as though the dog and the rooster had blended as one.  It looked like a normal dog, but with a rooster's head.  I took it home with me, and I hope I can keep it.
